Successfully conducted 2 days (04~05 April 2016) Steam System Optimization User Level Training (3rd Batch) at Function Hall, Department of SMEs Development, No. 35 – B/15, New University Avenue Road, Bahan Township, Yangon, Myanmar.
During training, the participants have learnt various topics including fundamentals of steam system, system approach to optimize steam systems, four major area of steam system (Generation, Distribution, End use and Recovery), three major losses in steam generation (shell loss, blowdown loss and stack loss) and US DOE Tools Suite (Steam System Survey Guide, Steam System Scoping Tool – SSST, Steam System Assessment Tool – SSAT and Insulation evaluation software – 3E Plus).
Since, energy system optimization can gain remarkable energy saving amount with economical payback period and we hope steam system optimization project would be implemented at potential factory where some trainees are working.
IEE PMU team welcome to those factories which want to be host factories for SSO implementation.
We would like to request the participants to share the knowledge attained from the training to the colleagues and encourage applying at the factory to improve energy efficiency.
We hope that the participants and more people who are interested to join future other Energy Management System & System Optimization trainings organized by IEE project and IEE PMU team will update accordingly.
